Hi,

My name is John Motley, the new General Manager of the Yellow Hammer Inn. After my first week, all I can say is “wow” what a beautiful place in a serene setting. As one local guest I met last week said “it’s the best kept secret in Tuscaloosa”. As someone who’s traveled and worked over the last 20 years in the great lodges of the West, I would have to agree that the Yellow Hammer Inn invokes the same quaint, relaxed feeling of some of the historic, iconic, western lodges I have run.

I’d like to welcome back old friends and new to the Yellow Hammer, as I am dedicated, along with my staff to making the experience a true world class caliber here when you visit us.

I’d also like to welcome new Guest Services Manager, Lanora Bayer to the inn, who began her tenor about a week ago along with me.

Book your golf outing, business meeting, get together or romantic weekend with us…… For those of you who haven’t seen it, come join us on a Wednesday night every month for a free…..(that’s right FREE) live concert on the back deck at the Inn. Bring your friends and enjoy smooth sounds of a featured singer songwriter artist and relax under the cool breeze coming off Lake Tuscaloosa under the trees.

Join us on May 16th for singer songwriter Mark Sherill for our next upcoming Yellowhammer Live free music event!

Mark is a writer of the song “Red” as performed here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YoRBgTnbILY

You can also click here to find out a little more about Mark: http://www.geocities.ws/olredmark/songwriter.html

I look forward to meeting all of you, and I’m happy to be back in Tuscaloosa!

John Motley
